Privacy policy

What Stakker knows about you.

Short version: Stakker has no access to the email inbox you already have, and nothing we measure records what you read. The long version is below. Last updated 27 August 2026.

What we never do

What we store

An account, which is your sign-in identity from Apple or Google, plus a display name if you set one. One Stakker address, created for you and used only where you sign up yourself. The editions sent to that address, so you can read them in the app, together with the images those editions contain. Your decisions about senders, so we never ask about the same sender twice.

An edition you delete is deleted. When you delete your account, the address, the editions, the images and the decisions go with it, and the address is not reissued to anyone else.

What we measure

We record how the app is used — screens opened, a subscription started, an edition opened — so we can tell whether the product works. These events are deliberately blunt: no event carries a sender, an edition, a headline, a topic, an address or a name. In Apple’s terms this is Usage Data used for Analytics, not linked to your identity and not used to track you.

Senders and publishers

Stakker subscribes to newsletters the same way any reader does: through the publisher’s own form, with an address of ours, under the name Stakker, and confirmed by the publisher’s own double opt-in. A publisher can ask us to stop at any time and we unsubscribe. Write to support@stakker.co.

Where the data lives

On Google Cloud infrastructure in Europe, run by us. Transport is encrypted, and access is limited to the people who operate the service.

Your rights

You can read, export or delete your data, and delete the account itself from inside the app. If you would rather ask us, write to support@stakker.co and we will answer within 30 days. Under the GDPR the controller is A-y Exp AB, Stockholm, Sweden.

Children

Stakker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we store or measure, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
